Parish Linz Don Bosco

The church and the branch of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Linz's Franckviertel was built between 1927 and 1928 by cathedral architect Matthäus Schlager. The parish branch was established in 1939. After the church was severely damaged by bombing in 1944, it was rebuilt in an extended form between 1946 and 1947 according to plans by Adolf Litschel and consecrated to Mary, Help of Christians in 1947 by Bishop Josephus Calasanz Fließer and elevated to parish status.

The reliefs and figures inside the church are largely the work of sculptor Hans Schmidinger. The organ was built by organ builders Gebrüder Mauracher in 1953.

The Daughters of Mary, Help of Christians (Don Bosco Sisters) moved the school to Vöcklabruck in 1975 and now run a secondary school for economic professions (HLW), a technical school for economic professions (FW), an educational institution for elementary education (BAfEP), a college for elementary education and a practical kindergarten.
