Curriculum Vitae
Johann Josef Wiesinger, known as 'Hans', was born in Vienna as the legitimate son of Rudolf Wiesinger, a clerk, and Olga, née Zeiner. Hans Wiesinger's maternal grandmother had converted to the Catholic faith. After finishing school, he decided to become a grammar school teacher of German and Latin. He completed his training in 1934 and completed his probationary year at the BG/BRG Keimgasse in Mödling in Lower Austria.
After his probationary year, he was offered a position as a teacher at the BG/BRG Fürstenfeld in Styria in 1935. Hans Wiesinger is an opponent of National Socialism, which he obviously also makes clear in Fürstenfeld.
On March 12, 1938, Hans Wiesinger witnesses the demise of free and independent Austria with the invasion of the German Wehrmacht. With the occupation of Austria, German legislation was adopted and with it the 'Nuremberg Racial Laws', according to which Hans Wiesinger was considered a 'Mitschling II. degree'.
In response to your petition of January 18, 1939, you are informed that there is no possibility for you to be used in Gau Steiermark because, as a mixed-race person of the second degree, you can no longer be accommodated here in our Gau.
The undersigned - from October 1937 to March 13, 1938, as head of the Bundesrealgymnasium Fürstenfeld in Styria, the superior of Prof. Hans Wiesinger - hereby confirms that the aforementioned was suspended from his duties in March 1938 due to his anti-Nazi attitude and was dismissed without pay in July of the same year. Prof. Wiesinger has always shown himself to be an extremely conscientious and diligent colleague during the time he spent in Fürstenfeld together with the employee.

After his discharge, Hans Wiesinger was unemployed until he was drafted into the Wehrmacht on 16 May 1940.
As a prisoner of war, Hans Wiesinger witnessed the liberation of Austria and the re-establishment of the Republic in April and May 1945. He returned home from captivity on 23 August 1945, was rehabilitated and was able to resume his duties as a teacher of German and Latin at the Bundesgymnasium und Bundesrealgymnasium Keimgasse in Mödling in autumn 1945.
Hans Wiesinger joins the newly founded Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and the ÖVP-Kameradschaft der politisch Verfolgten und Bekenner für Österreich. In 1946, he married Rosalia Förster.
At the age of 64, Hans Wiesinger retired and died in Mödling at the age of 89.
