Curriculum Vitae
Bruno Franz Bohusch was born in Vienna as the legitimate son of Wilhelm Bohusch, a lawyer's assistant, and Pauline, née Hanoll. After primary and secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a painter and decorator. He married for the first time in 1929, but the marriage ended in divorce.
Bruno Bohusch was obviously not very interested in politics, was not politically active in the 1930s and was not otherwise conspicuous. Nevertheless, he was opposed to National Socialism, especially its hostility towards Jews.
On March 12, 1938, he had to suffer in Vienna as the free and independent Austria perished with the occupation by Hitler's Germany.
On December 15, 1939, he expressed his criticism of the regime and its representatives to his assistant Johann Schagginger during repair work in the apartment of railroad conductor Josef Szalay. Josef Szalay is partly an earwitness.
Now you can't buy tobacco, and it's all because of this brown brood. The whole brown brood should be wiped out.
Do they imagine that Germany will win the war? Germany and England will disappear from the map.
Hitler is a human being, a genius, but coupled with madness. What did we have the war for, all because of a madman.
I would like to have the money that the party leaders have invested abroad. Even if Hitler donates several thousand marks a month to the NSV, this is still disproportionate to his income as a major shareholder in Gasoline and the entire gasoline production in Germany.
The stuffed pig, Göring, he peddled postcards in Sweden and as he saw that something was stirring in Germany, he came back and is now raking in fortunes. What are the Hermann Göring works - that's his private fortune.
Göbbels has to dance like the two of them (Hitler, Göring) whistle.
Where does the money from the DAF go? Bürckel, the Gauleiter, exerts unprecedented terror. He forces the small businessmen to pay a Christmas tax, while the state shirks.
Johann Schagginger reports Bruno Bohusch to the Gestapo. He is arrested on June 10, 1940 and sentenced to three years' imprisonment by the provincial court on August 28, 1940 for 'homicide', with credit for pre-trial detention. He is released from prison on June 10, 1943 and conscripted. In 1944, he became the father of a son.
In Vienna, Bruno Bohusch experienced the liberation of Austria in May 1945 and began working again as a painter and decorator. In free Austria, he joins the ÖVP-Kameradschaft der politisch Verfolgten und Bekenner für Österreich. He married three more times in 1949, 1963 and 1969.
He died at the age of 68 and was laid to rest at the cemetery in Vienna-Stammersdorf.
