Alfred Kislinger attended grammar school in Ried im Innkreis and, after graduating in 1936, enrolled at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Vienna to become a grammar school teacher. He joined the student fraternity Austria Wien in 1936.
Immediately after the Anschluss, he went to St. Florian, where he met his fellow high school graduate Lambert Weißl, who was studying at the seminary. During a walk, they write the following diatribe on a park bench:
You Nazisozi, let me tell you,
you will not have us for a long time yet.
You will be thrown out of the country,
that you are shitting your pants.O Austria, my fatherland,
the Führer's hand has defiled you.
You comrades of the people, vote "no",
so that it may become pure again!Hitler is a bastard,
he founded the Nazi League.
He cowardly invaded our country,
so, O people, vote "no!"The legionnaires,
yes, they don't come as millionaires,
starved like a bone,
since they smelled Hitler's wind;Bürkel wants to do the election campaign,
so the chickens must laugh.
Every crook asks for bread,
when he is in great need,because you people must remember,
there is no ham outside,
no butter and no fat,
so how nice!
This process is observed by a woman. She then denounced the two young lads. They are both arrested on April 2, 1938. Alfred Kislinger is sentenced to three months' imprisonment on 25 May 1938, which he serves in Linz.
On 8 August 1938, Alfred Kislinger is then transferred to the Dachau concentration camp together with Lambert Weissl without any further sentence and held there until 21 April 1939. After his imprisonment, he completed his teacher training, but was not accepted into the teaching profession due to his political unreliability. He was drafted into military service and returned home from British captivity in May 1946.
