Maria Pasching was born in Hagenberg in Lower Austria, the legitimate daughter of the small farmer Leopold Pasching and his wife Anna, née Raith. After elementary school, she first worked in agriculture, then as a housekeeper and in other professions. In 1915, she obtains a trade license to sell confectionery. Politically, she was a staunch Austrian monarchist, but also a devout Catholic.

In 1918, Maria Pasching witnessed the defeat of Austria-Hungary, the collapse of the dual monarchy and the expulsion of the House of Habsburg. In 1930, the Christian-social Austrian joined the Kaisertreuen Volksbewegung led by retired Major Alfred Martinides and in 1934 the Kaisertreuen Volkspartei (Wolffbund) led by Colonel Gustav Wolff.

On March 12, 1938, the staunch Austrian and opponent of National Socialism witnessed the demise of a free and independent Austria with the invasion of the German Wehrmacht. In the year of Austria's occupation, she opened a confectionery stall in Vienna-Schönbrunn.

In the summer of 1941, she was recruited by the founder of the Illegal Austrian Imperial Tax Front (IÖKF) Leopold Hof

The present trial involves a group of defendants who, between 1939 and 1942, set up an illegal legitimist organization under the name 'IÖKF', which had around 80 members when it was uncovered in September 1942.

From the verdict against Maria Pasching on November 16, 1943

On March 19, 1943, Maria Pasching was sent to prison at the Regional Court I in Vienna, from where she was transferred to the Regensburg prison on November 5, 1943. She is released from Zwickau prison (Saxony) on April 20, 1945.

In freedom, Maria Pasching experiences the liberation of Austria and the re-establishment of the Republic. She then worked as a businesswoman again. She joins the newly founded Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and he ÖVP-Kameradschaft der politisch Verfolgten und Bekenner für Österreich.

Maria Pasching retired as a businesswoman and died in Vienna at the age of 82.
