Curriculum Vitae

Siegfried Kail is accepted into the secondary school fraternity Starhemberg (since 1920 Babenberg) Wr. Neustadt in 1914. After graduating from high school, he studied world trade in Vienna and became a member of the Amelungia student fraternity in 1917. As early as 1920, he co-founded the Akademikerhilfe (student dormitories, e.g. Pfeilheim), where he held positions until the end of his life. After completing his studies, he initially worked as a secretary and accountant at the Association of Lower Austrian Agricultural Dairy Cooperatives.

In 1928, he was appointed secretary to the presidium of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture. Siegfried Kail moved to Bisamberg in 1937 and was involved in the founding of the Raiffeisenkasse in 1938. He is also the federal organizing director of the "Neues Leben" work of the Vaterländische Front.

After the Anschluss, he is arrested by the National Socialists and sentenced to a long prison term. In 1938, the NSDAP took over the Akademikerhilfe buildings, forcibly dissolved the Akademikerhilfe and ordered its incorporation into the NSDStB.
