Curriculum Vitae
Robert Weidinger attended grammar school in Salzburg and joined the Almgau Salzburg secondary school fraternity in 1935.
Recruited by Karl Glaser, who had joined the Almgau Salzburg secondary school fraternity after the Anschluss, he formed a cell of the "Grey Free Corps" together with Karl Steiner and others, inspired by Karl Beran, a university student who had come to Salzburg in the summer of 1938.
This underground activity was investigated and Robert Weidinger was arrested by the Gestapo on October 24, 1938. He remained in prison at the provincial court until November 28, 1938. On September 9, 1939, the three young Almgauers were put on trial (see Karl Glaser for details). Nevertheless, after being acquitted on the grounds of mercy, he is detained by the police together with Karl Steiner for a further month until 26.12.1938 after being released by the court.
