After the Matura, Josef Alois Gura studied veterinary medicine in Vienna and joined Norica in 1921. During the war, he is employed as a staff veterinarian in the Balkans. On 12.10.1944 he moved to the Albanian partisans to which he belonged until 7.12.1945. Therefore, on 3.11.1944 he will be in the absence of the field court of 297. Division sentenced to death.
After the war, he is once again active as an official veterinarian in Vienna.
