Curriculum Vitae

Heinrich Gottinger attended primary and secondary school in Linz and joined the Welfia Linz secondary school fraternity in 1929. After finishing school, he was employed by the Upper Austrian provincial government in July 1932 and from April 1, 1933 to March 12, 1938 he was assigned to the provincial traffic office - provincial travel agency.

After the Anschluss, Heinrich Gottinger was dismissed without notice and arrested on April 14, 1938 because he was an official of the VF. He was then transferred to the Dachau concentration camp. After his release, he worked temporarily as an accountant and was drafted into the German Wehrmacht in 1940, where he remained until the end of the war.
