Curriculum Vitae

After graduating from the humanistic grammar school in Breslau, Johannes Pöch moved to Vienna and entered the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, majoring in organ. In 1927, he transferred to the State Academy for Church and School Music in Berlin-Charlottenburg, where he also passed the state examination. In 1928, he passed the major examination at the Institute for Church Music in Regensburg. After further studies in Bad Nauheim, he worked as a choir director and organist in the Frankfurt/Main area from 1932.
