Curriculum Vitae

Franz Klinger attended the Export Academy (now the University of Economics) in Vienna after graduating from high school and joined the Amelungia student fraternity in 1913. After graduating with a degree in business administration, he taught at the commercial college in Baden from 1925. In 1928 he also became a lecturer for English and French shorthand at his university, and from 1931 he taught at the TGM in Vienna. In 1932 he was appointed specialist inspector for commercial education in Lower Austria and in 1935 he was appointed director of the HAK in Klagenfurt and specialist inspector in Carinthia. He worked as a secondary school teacher in Vienna and was very active in the VF.

This is probably also the reason why he was imprisoned for several months in 1938.
