After the Matura, Franz Klinger visits the export academy (now Economic University) in Vienna and joined Amelungia in 1913. After graduation as a graduate, he will be teaching at the trade school in Baden from 1925. In 1928 he will also be a lecturer for English and French shorts at his university, from 1931 he will teach at the TGM in Vienna. In 1932 the appointment as a specialist inspector for commercial education in Lower Austria and in 1935 the appointment as Director of HAK in Klagenfurt and as a specialist inspector in Carinthia. He is a middle school teacher in Vienna and is very active in the VF.

This is probably also the reason he is detained for several months in 1938.

After the war, he relocates to Klagenfurt and becomes director of the Commercial Academy (HAK). In 1956 he left the connection.
