Curriculum Vitae

Franz Deutsch studied medicine in Vienna and was accepted into the Nordgau Vienna student association in 1920. After graduating, he worked as a medical officer at the district authority in Hollabrunn, Lower Austria, until the Anschluss in 1938.

In the course of his research for the Aryan certificate, he discovered that he was a "Geltungsjude", even though both his parents had been baptized Catholic. He tries to flee to Switzerland, but is caught in the process. After various stops, he was transferred to the Riga concentration camp on January 11, 1942. He was murdered there. An exact date is not available.
