Richard Lechner comes from Vienna-Währing and begins his studies at the Faculty of Law and State Sciences of the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 1937), where he joined Rudolfina. He will receive additional training at the German Trade School and in private courses for finance and taxation.
Richard Lechner is involved in the Austrian High School (HÖ), which was established in the autumn of 1933, and will be head of the Legal Group at the University of Vienna at the beginning of 1934. This function corresponds to a specialist manager after 1945. In September 1937 he will become the senior administrator of the Austrian High School.
During his work as a specialist group leader, Richard Lechner is attracting the adversity of the national student and, in the winter semester of 1934/35, receives repeatedly anonymous drohan calls that a stop against him should be taken from the toilet facility located below his office. This is then monitored. At the beginning of his term of office, he suggests that the system of appointment of administrators should be replaced by the principle of free choice.
In the course of the connection in March 1938, the premises of the HÖ are occupied by the Nazis, and Richard Lechner on the 13th. Arrested March. After his deprivation in September 1939, he first worked at the Alpenmilchzentrale Putz in Vienna-Favoriten as office manager for hours. In November 1942, he was moved to the German Wehrmacht and sent to British prisoners of war, from which he returned to Christmas 1946.
In 1947, Richard Lechner joined the Austrian Milk and Fat Industry Association and was employed in the company bill. In February 1952, he will be head of the entire financial management of this association, which will later be converted into the dairy sector fund. In 1968 he became the managing director and finally became the managing director of the dairy fund in 1970. He is also a works councillor from 1950 to 1967. At the end of May 1976, he retired for illness.
