Curriculum Vitae
Hans Sedlmayr studied law after the Matura in Graz. In 1931 he became a member of the Carolina Graz student association. Shortly before Christmas 1935 he earned his doctorate for the Doctor iuris. From 1936, he is a national official in the district executive of Judenburg.
Immediately after that he is arrested and dismissed as an official of the Bezirkshauptmannschaft Judenburg. The head of the circle answers Hans Sedlmayr when he asks for the reason of his imprisonment: “When I come to my SA-cameras, they ask me: “Is the Sedlmayr still sitting?” and when I say yes, their eyes shine.” He stays in prison for four weeks. When he is beaten down on the street after he was released, he flees to Munich.
After the war, he works as District Chief.
