Curriculum Vitae

Anton List studied at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and became a member of the Franco-Bavaria student fraternity in 1919. In May 1921, he was a founding member of the Pflug student fraternity. After graduating with a degree in engineering and a doctorate, he turned his attention to training the next generation of farmers. In 1938, he became director of the Federal Teaching and Research Institute for Dairy Farming in Wolfpassing.

He was arrested there immediately after the Anschluss and taken to St. Pölten and later to Vienna's Elisabethpromenade. He was released at the end of April.
