Curriculum Vitae
Josef Zirkler took up his post as a provisional teacher in 1911. In 1932, he became principal and in 1937 district school inspector.
After the Anschluss, he was removed from the teaching profession on March 12, 1938, arrested and taken to Buchenwald concentration camp (Block 2), where he remained imprisoned until November 11, 1938. From this day onwards, when he was deported by the SS to another unknown location, there is no further information.
After the war, he returned to teaching and ultimately worked as a regional school inspector.
