Curriculum Vitae

Heinrich Feucht was born in Weitra, the son of the cattle dealer and landowner Mathias and his wife Anna. After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Vienna and was admitted to the student fraternity Austria Wien in 1907. He graduated in 1913 and then began working as a trainee judge. He was drafted into military service in 1915 and returned from captivity as a prisoner of war in 1919.

He then worked as a trainee judge again and was eventually appointed a judge. He eventually became a judge at the Weitra district court. In this role, he also takes action against National Socialists from 1933 onwards.

From the files on reinstatement in 1945

What Heinrich Feucht did in the time between his dismissal and the end of the war is unfortunately not documented. Shortly after the end of the war, on July 31, 1945, he returned to work and was appointed head of the district court in Weitra in Lower Austria on August 8, 1945. He remained in this position until his 70th birthday and then retired. He dies unmarried and childless in hospital in Gmünd.
