Curriculum Vitae

Hugo Freiherr von Lederer is born as the son of the Oberstaatsbahnrats Oskar Frhr. von Lederer. His brother Hugo Frhr. von Lederer – apparently Lederer’s godfather – is the chief courtmaster of the Archduke Franz Salvator, the husband of the Archduchess Marie Valerie, the youngest daughter of Emperor Franz Joseph. The collection of the Lederer family into the Freiherrenstand took place in 1763 on August Gottlob Lederer, Imperial Court Council at the Austrian-Dutch Chamber of Calculators in Brussels.

Hugo Freiherr von Lederer completes the gymnasium in Vienna-Döbling. During this time he joins the Herulia middle school compound. He then begins his studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna (Dr. iur. 1913) and becomes a member of the Norica Student Association.

Hugo Freiherr von Lederer interrupts his studies with the one-year volunteer year 1909/10 at Feldkanonenregiment No. 6. At the end of 1912, he begins his legal practice at the Landesgericht Wien and turns to the financial professional in April 1914. In 1914 he was convened (Reservekanonenbatterie No. 6, Feldartillerieregimenter No. 25 and No. 49) and reached the rank of a leufactor of the reserve.

After the war, Lederer is appointed to the Ministry of Finance and assigned to the presidential office in 1923, to the personal service of the respective minister. In 1931 he is appointed Ministerial Council and Deputy Chief Executive; from March 1935 he is then president.

After the connection in 1938, Hugo Freiherr is forcedly boarded by Lederer, and his rainfall was shortened to three quarters. As a result, he is active in various positions of the private sector, including from 1942 notary workers. After the end of the war, he is rehabilitated and appointed as Head of Section in April 1945 as Head of the Presidial and Human Resources Section in the State Office for Finance. After the establishment of the Federal Ministry for Finance, he remains the head of the personnel section. In 1950 he retired. He is buried in the Klosterneuburg cemetery.
