Curriculum Vitae
Leopold Altmann began his law studies in Vienna and was admitted to Rudolfina in 1935. After the Anschluss, he was excluded from further studies due to his political views and was drafted into the Wehrmacht in May 1939. During the war, he worked in a supplementary department and successfully delayed the conscription of federal and cartel brothers by leaving files lying around. As a result, he was arrested by the Gestapo and tortured on a fresh appendectomy scar, among other things.
