Curriculum Vitae

Ludwig Zappe came from Vienna-Landstraße (Erdberg) and was accepted into the Frankonia Vienna secondary school fraternity in 1925. After graduating from high school in 1927, he first began studying at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Vienna, where he joined the Bajuvaria student fraternity in 1934, but soon transferred to the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Vienna (abs. iur. 1932). During his studies, he worked as a student trainee for the postal and telegraph administration. After completing his studies, Ludwig Zappe was transferred to employment group A (academics).

Due to his involvement in the Fatherland Front, Ludwig Zappe was immediately dismissed after the Anschluss and found employment in Eduard Frieb's brush factory until he was drafted into the German army.
