Fritz Weber completed his theological training in Innsbruck and Salzburg, where he became active in the student fraternity Unitas Juvavia Salzburg in the summer semester of 1934. He was taken into protective custody by the Gestapo in Dortmund in 1941 for reading out the "Galen Sermons" in (Siegen-)Weidenau. He also had to endure further interrogations, a house search and warnings. He was fined 150 RM for preaching in opposition to the regime and for an outing with the altar boys.
