Friedrich Krieger graduated from the Grammar School in Wiener Neustadt, where he joined Babenberg Wr. Neustadt. After the Matura in 1921 he began studying at the Faculty of Law and State Sciences of the University of Vienna (abs. iur. 1926; Dr. iur. 1930) and joins the student association Amelungia.

After completing his studies in 1926, Friedrich Krieger graduated from the court and then entered the service of the Vienna Finance Director, and in 1934 he moved to the Bureau of the Ministry of Finance. In March 1938, Friedrich Krieger is released. After the Second World War, he is rehabilitated, appointed Ministerial Council and Head of the Bureau.

In 1948, Krieger was appointed first Vice Governor and with 1 January 1956 as Governor of the Austrian Post-Savings Bank (PSK), which at that time is probably the most important bank institution for money transport.

Friedrich Krieger dies surprisingly already two and a half years later and is buried in the Hietzinger cemetery.
