Curriculum Vitae

After graduating from secondary school in Vienna 15, Robert Krasser studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University from 1901 and joined the Norica student association in 1901. From the winter semester 1903/04, he studied mathematics at the University of Vienna and descriptive geometry at the Technical University. After completing his teacher training, he became a secondary school professor. From 1915 to 1918, he completed his military service, ultimately as a first lieutenant.

1932-1934, he was the last chairman of the Christian Social Party in Vienna. 1934-1938 he held the office of Second (acting) President of the Vienna School Board. On March 12, 1938, Robert Krasser was arrested at 8.30 a.m. at the Vienna School Board, followed by a house search. However, he is then released. On February 9, 1939, he was dismissed from the City School Board and retired on February 24, 1940 with half his pension. Due to a denunciation, he was again interrogated by the Gestapo in December 1939 and January 1940 because he had "spoken in such a way about the assassination attempt on the Führer [carried out on 8.11.1939 by Georg Elsner (9.4.1945)] as if he had already known about it beforehand."

After the assassination attempt of July 20, 1944, he was arrested again at 6 a.m. on August 23, 1944 during an arrest operation and remained in custody for three days. His home was also searched again.
