Curriculum Vitae

Josef Fritsch was the founding senior of Herulia in Wolkersdorf in 1920 and was active in the resistance during the Nazi era. During the Second World War, as a soldier in the Wehrmacht, he helped French prisoners of war, whom he had to guard, to escape. He later received a French medal for this. His actions were not approved of by everyone in his home town of Wolkersdorf and did not make his life there any easier.
