Curriculum Vitae
Leo Salomon studies law at the University of Vienna. His father Leopold is arrested immediately in the days of the Anschluss. When he visits his father and brings him food, he learns about the inhumane prison conditions and conditions in the Wolkersdorf municipal prison. He complains about this so violently that he himself is immediately imprisoned for a few days. He was then allowed to continue his studies and graduated with a doctorate in law in 1939. As his critical attitude towards the new Nazi rulers was well known, he was drafted into the German army five days after graduating on December 1, 1939 and had to take part in the Second World War. He was taken prisoner of war, from which he was only able to return home in 1946.
