Curriculum Vitae

The Vorarlberg native Karl Fink attended secondary school in Innsbruck. There he became a member of the Cimbria Innsbruck secondary school fraternity in 1914. After graduating in 1917, he took part in the First World War as an ensign. In 1919, he began studying mechanical engineering at the TH Graz and joined the Carolina student fraternity. After graduating in 1924, he took on a teaching position at various secondary schools (mathematics, descriptive geometry).

On March 13, 1938, he was dismissed from teaching and taken into protective custody in Steyr until March 18, 1938. Towards the end of the war, he was a member of the Dornbirn resistance movement.
