Curriculum Vitae
Josef Schneeberger served as a one-year volunteer in the Austrian army in 1938 and was then taken over by the German Wehrmacht. Towards the end of the war, he was stationed in Tyrol with the rank of major and took part in the resistance actions there. He took part in the disarmament of the German general staff at the Hungerburg and in the occupation of the Aldrans station as well as in the negotiations with the invading Americans in Scharnitz.
