Curriculum Vitae

Theodor Hausteiner, as benefactor of the Seekapelle in Bregenz, writes very critically about National Socialism in a letter to a front-line comrade.

Theodor Hausteiner in a letter to a front-line comrade

He is taken into custody in Bregenz for this. After his release, he was banned from the Gau, which was lifted when he was called up to the Wehrmacht. When he wanted to return home seriously injured in October 1942, the Gauverbot was renewed and he was transferred to Lienz/St. Andrä as a cooperator on February 28, 1942, where he remained until August 25, 1946. In October 1943, he founded the Fatima pilgrimage to Thurn (with a picture of Fatima in his possession), which is still organized today. This was banned by the Gestapo in 1944 and the parish was fined RM 1,000.
