Curriculum Vitae

The provost priest Johann Schrimpf from Krems was arrested on December 27, 1939 after a ruthless house search by the Gestapo field office in St. Pölten at the Institute of the English Misses and taken to the district court in St. Pölten. According to an SD report, a legitimist resistance group under the guise of a "Marian Congregation" was suspected here at the institute, to which Provost Johann Schrimpf was also said to belong. However, as no evidence could be found for the accusations against him, he was released after some time.
