Curriculum Vitae

Karl Krczmar visits the Realgymnasium in Stockerau. There, he joined Herulia on 1916. After the Matura 1920 he joined the Jesuit Order as a novice. Since he can't reach his goal of becoming a missionary for health reasons, he leaves the Order again and studies philosophy in Vienna, where he joined Babenberg in 1920. For economic reasons, he must abort his studies and does not acquire an academic degree. In 1927 he enters the NÖ-Landesdienst.

In July 1940, he has to move to the German Wehrmacht, is from 01.01.1941 “War Administration Inspector” in Norway and is then transferred to the Russian front. He continues to contact the federal brothers via the field mail. Here he helps with the care of wounded and dying. This bears the SS. His company boss sends him on holiday in 1941 and gives him a package for relatives in Vienna. Karl Krczmar does not think that this could be a trap. When it comes to control, he specifies that his company boss has given him this package, whose content he does not know. On a question with this officer, he denies the order. In the package the SS then finds military washing, shirts etc. Karl Krczmar is then arrested, transferred to the relevant LG Vienna and sentenced to death on 25.3.1942 for “fighting power disintegration”.

Karl Krczmar will be shot on 2.6.1942.
