Roland Weinlich graduated from the state grammar school in Salzburg in 1924 and then studied law at the University of Vienna. He was accepted into the Norica student fraternity in 1924. After graduating, he became a notary in Zell am See and was also deputy mayor there before March 12, 1938.
After the Anschluss, he was arrested and lost his notary's office. After the failed assassination attempt on Hitler on July 20, 1944, he is arrested again. His house was searched during both arrests.
