Curriculum Vitae

After attending grammar school in Brixen, Ernst Kolb graduated in 1908 and began studying law in Innsbruck. In 1908 he joined the student fraternity Austria Innsbruck. After graduating, he joined the police force in Trieste in 1914. He obtained his doctorate in law in 1917. In June 1918, he was dismissed by the Italians and expelled from Italy. In 1919, he joined the police force in Graz. Here, Ernst Kolb joined the Traungau student fraternity,

in 1938 he was appointed senior police councillor and central inspector of the security police. After the Anschluss, Ernst Kolb was arrested on March 11, 1938 and forced to retire in May 1938. He found his livelihood as an accountant and assistant in tax matters. When, despite the ban and danger, C.C. members gathered again in Graz under Carolina's leadership during the war, Ernst Kolb was also a keen participant, and Carolina also honored him by awarding him her ribbon. Not used in the military during the Second World War, Ernst Kolb was finally called up to join the Volkssturm. As his family was in Hopfgarten in Tyrol, he enlisted in the Standschützen there.
