Curriculum Vitae
Franz Cech completed secondary school and was then called up in 1916 as a one-year volunteer to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian military police battalion 1, with which he took part in the First World War. After the war, he began studying technical chemistry at the Technical University in Vienna (Dipl.-Ing. 1922) and joined the Amelungia student fraternity in 1919.
In the fall of 1922, Franz Cech began his service as a teacher (chemistry, physics, mathematics) and as a prefect at the Realschule and Bundeskonvikt in Waidhofen/Thaya and moved to the Bundesrealgymnasium in Mödling in 1927. In 1934, he was called up to serve in the Ministry of Education.
After the Anschluss, Franz Cech was dismissed at the end of April 1938 due to forced retirement and his "pension" was reduced by half. He then tried in vain to find a job in the private sector in line with his studies and ended up working as a salesman, sales representative and payroll accountant.
